Black EyeCare Perspective, founded by optometrists Dr. Adam Ramsey and Dr. Darryl Glover, was created to increase awareness of optometry as a career pathway and to cultivate lasting relationships between eye care professionals, students, and the broader eye care industry. Alongside Dr. Essence Johnson (Executive Director), Dr. Jacobi Cleaver (Chief Program Officer), and Dr. Tiffany Humes (Business Transformation Manager), the organization leads intentional, impact driven initiatives that introduce students to the profession, provide mentorship and education, and create clear pathways into optometry. Through focused outreach, immersive experiences, and strategic partnerships, Black EyeCare Perspective strengthens the pipeline of future eye care professionals and supports workforce development across all areas of eye care.
